Fires Often Occur In Kebon Blank Kemayoran, Pramono Anung Will Find Solutions

JAKARTA - Jakarta governor candidate Pramono Anung said he would find a solution for residents of Kebon Blank, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta who often experience fires. He had heard complaints directly while inspecting the location.

"So that's what will be thought later in the day because this area is one of the areas where the fires are frequent. This may be 2-3 times," Pramono said after reviewing the location of the fire in Kebon Blank, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 12.

Pramono said there are two main causes that make this area often experience fires that harm residents. "Always short-electric or again cook or put a fire that then develops everywhere. So that's what I see," he said.

Meanwhile, when asked about the possibility of relocating residents to flats, the former Cabinet Secretary (Menseskab) of the era of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) did not want to talk much. He only said that later a study would be carried out between the provincial government and the Ministry of State Secretary (Kemensetneg).

This idea was initiated by the 10th Vice President and 12 Jusuf Kalla who also served as Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) after visiting the location of the fire. At that time, he asked the government to build flats for residents of Kebon Blank.

"If what Mr. JK proposes, of course, the local government will study it in depth together with the State Secretary. Because this is Kemayoran, right? In the State Secretariat, yes," he said.

"And I am sure of his views, his thoughts are the same for the welfare and good of the people here," continued Pramono.

As previously reported, the fire in a densely populated settlement that occurred on Jalan Kebon Blank, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, allegedly came from the house of a plastic trash collector with the initials J.

The spark then quickly grew and burned all parts of the semi-permanent building in the area.

As a result of the fire in this densely populated settlement, as many as 1,800 people from 600 families and seven neighborhood units (RT) namely RT 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 and 09 (joined in RW 05) were affected.
