JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) auctioned off a number of items confiscated from corruption cases today. A number of goods sold, including Mercedes-Benz 230 E or Mercy Tiger with a nominal value of IDR 137 million.

"The highest offer with an offering price of IDR 137,901,000," said the Auction Officer at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 10.

The condition of the car was well maintained when it was seen at the KPK Confiscated Object Storage House and Rampasan Goods (Rupbasan) some time ago. Mercy Tiger is auctioned along with four BBS brand wheels installed along with four original wheels.

The car opened at a price of Rp. 64,140,000 with a security deposit of Rp. 32 million. The bidder conducts an online auction and after being knocked at the final price, the payment must be made within five days or December 17.

Meanwhile, the Director of Asset Tracking, Management of Evidence, and Execution (Labuksi) of the KPK, Mungki Hadipratikto, said that 134 looted items were auctioned during the commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) ensured that the initial price was set by the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance. A complementary assessment team was involved.

In the session, not all auction items were bid. Some of the assets that were auctioned were empty, aka not sold.

This happened to two American manufacturer SUVs, Jeep Cherokee, with the 2011 and 1995 manufacturing years.

For 2011, this car opened at a price of IDR 265,496,000 with a security deposit of IDR 100 million. Meanwhile, in 1995, it was opened for IDR 117,385,000 with a guarantee of IDR 50 million.

Until the closing time of the offer, none of the participants made an offer. In this regard, the two cars will be auctioned back at other auction times.
