The State Receives Trillions Of Rupiah From The Palm Oil Licensing Sector To Mineral Thanks To Stranas PK

JAKARTA - The National Strategy for the Prevention of Corruption (Stranas PK) is said to have deposited IDR 3 trillion into the country. This achievement is obtained from efforts to control oil palm and mining licensing in forest areas in five provinces to various systems that have been built to close the gap in corruption.

This was conveyed by KPK Chairman Nawawi Pomolango when opening World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) 2024, Monday, December 8. Nawawi initially explained that the Stranas PK movement was driven by five ministries/agencies.

"Stranas PK is a preventive measure that coordinates 117 ministries and institutions as well as more than 500 local governments," Nawawi said in his remarks.

"The implementation of Stranas PK is driven by five ministries/agencies or what is referred to as a national team with the KPK as the coordinator," he continued.

Nawawi then explained a number of achievements of Stranas PK.

"Among them is Rp. 3 trillion in state revenue with a potential state revenue of Rp. 30.2 trillion for the imposition of fines for controlling oil palm and mining permits in forest areas of five provinces," he said.

In addition, another achievement is the improvement in licensing governance in the coal plantation and mineral sectors to digitization of around 2,000 special ports and terminals.

This digitization, continued Nawawi, has reduced the national logistics cost from 24 percent to 14 percent of gross domestic products or the total value of goods and services produced by a country in a certain period.

Then, services that usually take two weeks now become less than a day.

"This is what makes Indonesia the only country in Asia that is included in the top 20 countries with the best port performance in the world according to UNCTAD," said Nawawi.

Furthermore, Nawawi also explained that the improvement in the mineral sector had made the state enjoy an additional revenue of Rp7.7 trillion. Then, Stranas PK also succeeded in preventing leaks in the procurement of goods and services by suppressing price inflations or price mark-ups in the construction sector by up to 20 percent.

Finally, it was stated that Stranas PK had also succeeded in closing the gap in corruption in the leakage of electricity subsidies and 3 kilograms of LPG. Allegedly the forecast could reach tens of trillions of rupiah.

"To prevent corruption in providing subsidies for the poor, the use of the population identification number (NIK) driven by Stranas PK is able to identify leaks of Rp. 14 trillion a year for electricity subsidies and the inaccuracy of the 3 kilogram LPG subsidy target of Rp. 50 trillion," concluded Nawawi.
