KPK Chairman Nawawi Pomolango Sindir Officials Regarding Wealth Reports When Opening Hakordia 2024

Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nawawi Pomolango alluded to the submission of the state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN) when opening a series of World Anti-Corruption Day (Hakordia) events on Monday, December 9. Many submissions are just to abort obligations.

A number of ministers and heads of ministerial-level institutions were present at the opening ceremony of Hakordia at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

They include Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan, Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.

Meanwhile, President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka were not present at this activity.

"The truth of the report is still concerning," Nawawi said in his remarks.

Nawawi said that the KPK had the right to check the assets of state officials according to the mandate of the KPK Law Number 19 of 2019. However, as the process turned out, many state administrators were caught accepting bribes and gratuities from the ongoing process.

"The LHKPN examination still finds indications of accepting bribes and gratuities which are then followed up by the deputy for prosecution," he said.

Thus, the reporting of LHKPN in the future is expected to prioritize the truth of its contents. Nawawi also reminded agencies and each institution that this data must be a form of accountability to the community.

"We encourage various agencies to make LHKPN an important instrument in the responsibility of public officials to the public in the form of delivering the correct LHKPN in its contents and in accordance with reality," concluded Nawawi.
