No Restorative Justice, Family Gives Up Murder Suspect In Lebak Bulus Undergoes Legal Process

The police have transferred the case files of a child with the initials MAS (14) who is suspected of killing his biological father and grandmother, APW (40) and RM (69), to the South Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari). In this case, MAS was charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code and its subsidiary Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.

However, the police ensured that this case could not end peacefully through restorative justice (RJ). Because MAS has killed other people's lives.

The perpetrator's uncle or victim's cousin, Angga Raditya (37) admitted that his family had surrendered to this case. He and his family have left everything to the police.

"Legally, it's difficult, yes, because the status is a child who is in conflict with the law. Yes, we just leave it to the applicable legal process," said Angga when confirmed, Friday, December 6.

Angga admitted that he could not do much, because what his family had done had also been proven to have committed the alleged murder.

According to him, the evidence to CCTV at home and near the scene of the incident showed the action taken by MAS.

"Because there has been a loss of life, then the evidence also exists, CCTV also has the word police, right. Yes, so I also surrendered, the family also surrendered. How is the process, we just follow it," he said.

For information, a teenage boy with the initials MAS (14) stabbed his father and grandmother to death. The unfortunate incident occurred at the Bona Indah Park Housing Block B6, Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta, Saturday 30 November 2024 at 01.00 WIB.
