DPR Leader Asks Gus Miftah To Insult Ice Tea Traders Introspection

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, appealed to the lecturer Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman or Gus Miftah to introspect on his performance as the president's envoy for religious harmony.

Not only Miftah, this appeal also applies to all assistants to President Prabowo Subianto in the cabinet.

"We, the DPR, also see the aspirations of the people, have asked the government not only to Gus Miftah but also to appeal to introspect the evaluation of the performance of each assistant to the president and special presidential envoy," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, December 5.

The daily chairman of the Gerindra DPP considered that Miftah should not insult the tea ice seller, let alone make inappropriate words. Moreover, President Prabowo, who is also the General Chair of Gerindra, always reminded him not to demean each other to the Indonesian people.

"Istana has said that never do that, in fact, it is not in accordance with what was conveyed by the President. So let us build Indonesia by mutual respect, mutual respect, not demeaning each other. However, build Indonesia with a sense of brotherhood without degrading each other," said Dasco.
