Andra-Dimyati Invite The Airin-Ade Pair To Sue The Banten Pilkada To The Constitutional Court

JAKARTA - The winning team of candidate pair (paslon) Andra Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah respects the decision of candidate pair Airin Rahcmi Diany-Ade Sumardi who plans to file a dispute over the results of the 2024 Banten Pilkada to the Constitutional Court (MK).

The head of the winning team for Andra Soni-Dimyati, Yudi Budi Wibowo, said that the submission of disputes over the election results was commonplace through the mechanisms in the Constitutional Court.

"Of course we respect when there is a submission regarding regional election disputes, especially in Banten. But the process (of vote counting) is still running, the decision is not final," said Yudi in Serang, Banten, Thursday, December 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said this method is normative when it comes to resolving regional election disputes, which can be done by anyone and in any area.

Yudi said his party was waiting for a tiered vote count, based on a mechanism by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Banten Province.

"Of course it is the KPU's decision to be sued. So that's what we will then, yes, we are together, face it together," said Yudi.

In addition, his party stated that the vote count through the internal survey of the winning team had been completed and 100 percent. The results are not much different from the quick count results.

But now the winning team Andra Soni-Dimyati is concentrating on securing voices at the city and district levels, after coming from the sub-district level.

Previously, the camp of Banten governor and deputy governor candidate pair Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi planned to file a lawsuit against the results of the 2023 Pilkada to the Constitutional Court.

Secretary of the Airin-Ade Winning Team, Asep Rahmatullah, said the lawsuit was aimed at presenting fair and democratic elections.

From the results of the quick count of Charta Politica, the Andra Soni-Dimyat pair won 57.52 percent with a vote compared to the Airin-Ade pair who won 42.48 percent.
