Shooting In Kindergarten In California, 2 Critical Students, Suspect Dies

JAKARTA - The shooting took place in a kindergarten (TK) in northern California, United States (US).

Citing CBN News, this incident occurred at theulant River School of Seventh-Day Adventures, Wednesday, December 4 at around 13.00 local time.

The California Highway Patrol Police Station said a man suspected of being the suspect was found dead. Police also secured firearms next to the suspect.

Currently, two kindergarten students who were victims of shootings were 5 years old and 6 years old, respectively, have received treatment at the hospital due to their critical health condition.

The police said the identity of the suspect was still unknown. However, investigators have asked for information from the witness who is the Uber driver as the suspect's escort to the scene.

Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea explained that investigators were also investigating allegations that the suspect had called the school admin to meet on the day of the incident.

"After the meeting took place with school admins on Wednesday, gunshots were heard," said Honea.

After the incident, the students were secured by the school to the sports hall. When the police arrived, the students were evacuated by school bus to the Nazarene Orouville Church in 2238 Monte Vista Avenue. The students' families then picked them up.

Hotel River School of Seventh-Day Adventures school accommodates about 35 students from kindergarten to eighth grade.

During the incident, the police revealed that no security officers were stationed at the school because they were not part of their daily routine.
