Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation Receives Award

JAKARTA - Eddy Wijaya as the General Chair of the Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation received an award from the Head of Pulogadung Sub-district, Syarifudin Chandra, AP, MPA at the Declaration of Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM) at Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, Tuesday 3 December.

The event was also witnessed by Plt. The Mayor of East Jakarta Administration, Iin Mutmainah. The Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation is considered to have played an active role in the Community-Based Total Sanitation program, especially in the RT 04 RW 11 area of Kayuputih Village, East Jakarta by building septic tanks in 15 houses that previously needed decent sanitation facilities.

In his remarks, Acting Mayor of East Jakarta, Iin Mutmainah said, the success of the Community-Based Total Sanitation Declaration is a collaboration between the government, the community, and social activities carried out by the private sector. "It is hoped that after STBM there will be no more congenital diseases such as diarrhea, dbd, and so on," said Iin Mutmainah.

East Jakarta residents contributed the largest population in Jakarta. According to population data from the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil), in mid-2024, the population in East Jakarta amounted to 3.31 million people or 29.23 percent of the total population of Jakarta.

Eddy Wijaya as the General Chair of the Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation feels grateful for the award from the East Jakarta Administrative City Government. According to Eddy Wijaya, this appreciation further spurs the Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation to continue to carry out social activities to the community.

"I thank Mr. Syarfudin as Head of the Pulogadung sub-district for his appreciation. The Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation will continue to carry out social actions to the community," said Eddy Wijaya after being awarded an award.

A number of social activities have been carried out by the National Care Foundation, such as providing basic food packages assistance to residents at the Bantar Gebang TPST, the elderly in the Central Jakarta area, the Si Boncel Orphanage at Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, participating in the stunting monitoring program in Pulo Gadung District, and many other social activities that are carried out regularly by the Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation.

The Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation is committed to focusing on concrete actions and sustainable solutions and participating in the economic empowerment of the community. Eddy Wijaya also hopes that what the Wijaya Peduli Bangsa Foundation does can benefit the community.
