The Minister Of Manpower Targets The Announcement Of The Rules Regarding The 2025 UMP Tomorrow

Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli stated that his party will announce the issuance of the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) regarding the determination of the provincial minimum wage (UMP) 2025 on Wednesday (4/12).

The Ministry of Manpower is conducting harmonization of the regulation with the Ministry of Law.

"We are drafting a ministerial regulation, we are targeting it tomorrow (issued), God willing. So today there is harmonization with the Ministry of Law, please pray for it," Yassierli said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 3.

His party is also scheduled to attend a limited meeting held with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Trade, and the Ministry of Public Works.

The coordination meeting, he continued, will discuss the government's steps to anticipate current economic conditions.

"What is certain is that the anticipation is positive, in the sense that we are talking about fiscal policies and so on," said Yassierli.

He said the government's decision to increase the national minimum wage average by 6.5 percent in 2025 submitted by President Prabowo Subianto last Friday afternoon (29/11) was the result of discussions with various parties, including employers and employers' associations.

"Friends of workers ask for consideration like this, friends from Apindo like this, the results of our study are like this, so we propose that the increase is 6 percent, so then the President with the consideration that he wants to increase the purchasing power of workers, he said 6.5 percent and it was announced," he added.

Prabowo Subianto said that the welfare of workers is very important, so his party decided to increase the 2025 UMP by 6.5 percent.

"The welfare of workers is very important. We will continue to strive for the improvement of their welfare," said President Prabowo in his announcement at the Presidential office, Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Friday (29/11).
