Brian said the sarasehan was attended by more than 2,600 participants. They consisted of 219 rectors, 44 college directors, six college chairmen, 1,596 lecturers, scientists, and researchers, including 300 researchers from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). There were also more than 635 college collaboration partners and the Ministry of Education, Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
According to Brian, the seminar was held to strengthen collaboration between the government, universities, business, industry, and the community so that science and technology can provide real benefits for national development.
He said a number of collaborative programs since KSTI 2025 have been running in various sectors.
In the field of agriculture, universities are involved in the development of agricultural genomes and superior varieties for commodities that are still dependent on imports.
In the environmental sector, the campus together with the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Defense, Danantara, BRIN, as well as the DKI Jakarta and West Java Provincial Governments are developing waste processing technology.
Meanwhile, in the energy sector, research is focused on palm oil gasoline, the development of electric stoves, and a study on a 100 gigawatt power plant.
In the field of health, universities support tuberculosis (TB) vaccine research, strengthening the pharmaceutical industry, and national health equipment.
Collaboration is also carried out in the marine sector through research on salt industry and electric fishing boats. Meanwhile, in the infrastructure sector, the campus is involved in drafting the concept of vertical areas and residences, supporting the Giant Sea Wall program, and developing the national semiconductor industry.
At the end of the sarasehan, Brian said his party would formulate the contribution of universities to accelerate the implementation of various national priority programs that have been announced by the government.
