KPU: Witness RIDO Rejects Recapitulation Signatures In 3 Districts Of Central Jakarta

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Jakarta (Jakpus) said that the witness of the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta, Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) refused to sign the recapitulation results (form model D) in three sub-districts.

"There are three sub-districts that have completed the signing of the D model form as a result of the sub-district, witness 01 has indeed refused to sign," said Head of the Educational Socialization Division for Community Participation and Human Resources of the Central Jakarta KPU, Sahat Dohar Manullang when contacted in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, December 3.

The three sub-districts include Menteng, Senen, and Sawah Besar sub-districts. The D model form is the result of plenary recapitulation of regional elections at the sub-district level.

Sahat explained, according to technical guidelines, if there is a candidate camp that is not willing to sign a vote recapitulation form, it will be written in a special incident note. However, this has no effect on the recapitulation results.

"In the technical guidelines, it is said that if there are candidate pairs who are not willing to sign the results of the recapitulation, a special incident is made and written down whether the objection or the reason for not signing is not effective. For D, the results we issue have no effect," explained Sahat.

Furthermore, Sahat revealed the reason the RIDO candidate witness refused to sign because he questioned the low voter participation.

Then, the RIDO candidate pair also questioned the invitation form or notification to residents.

"The reason for the witness Paslon 01 was because they questioned the low voter participation, and many residents did not get C notifications which are commonly called invitations," said Sahat.

The DKI Jakarta KPU has determined three pairs of candidates (paslon) for the governor and deputy governor of DKI Jakarta to run in the DKI Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada) on Sunday (22/9). The voting for the Jakarta Regional Head Election has also taken place on Wednesday (27/11).

The three candidate pairs are Ridwan Kamil-Suswono (RIDO) and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana (Dharma-Kun) from independent and Pramono Anung-Rano Karno (Pram-Doel).
