President Prabowo Entertains Dozens Of US Entrepreneurs At The State Palace

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto hosted around 50 businessmen from the United States (US) who are members of the AS-ASEAN Business Council at the State Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday morning.

President Prabowo, wearing a gray coat, arrived at the State Palace at 10.03 WIB, and was accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Rosan Roeslani and US Ambassador to Indonesia Kamala Shirin Lakhdir, and Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hashim Djojohadikusumo.

When he arrived at the banquet table, the President immediately greeted one by one the businessmen who had already been at the banquet table. While greeting dozens of businessmen, the President also seemed to be talking warmly and read at a glance at the nameplate to greet them.

Investment and Downstreaming Minister/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board Rosan Roeslani said more than 50 companies were present at the State Palace to meet with President Prabowo.

"They are very confident in Indonesia's economic growth in the future. Most of them have invested in Indonesia, and I have met some of them, and they want more investment in Indonesia," said Rosan, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, December 3.

According to Rosan, entrepreneurs want to invest more in Indonesia because stability and peace are one of Indonesia's main powers.

Entrepreneurs, said Rosan, also believe that President Prabowo's new leadership will also provide more comfort. This can be seen from the President's overseas visit to the US and bilateral meetings with US President Joe Biden.

"They (entrepreneurs) will be here for a few days. They will also meet with ministers, as well as several companies," added Rosan.
