Viral Sound Recording Similar To Jokowi Circulating Regarding Ahmad Luthi, Adjutant: Hoax

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo's aide, Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah, confirmed that the voice recording circulating on social media claimed to resemble Jokowi's voice was a hoax. He emphasized that the voice in the recording did not belong to President Jokowi.

"I make sure it's not your voice," said Syarif in a statement received by ANTARA, Tuesday (3/12).

The voice recording was spread with the background of photos of Jokowi's meeting with the candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Central Java number 2, Ahmad Luthfi and Taj Yasin Maimoen.

In the recording, a voice claimed to be similar to Jokowi said that if Ahmad Luthfi wins the 2024 Central Java Pilkada, he will enter the cabinet of the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, while the position of governor of Central Java will be handed over to Jokowi's youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep.

Syarif appealed to the public to be careful in receiving information that has not been verified and is aware of the spread of hoaxes that can be misleading and trigger public misunderstandings.

The preliminary results of the vote count for the Central Java Pilkada show that the Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin pair is superior to the Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi pair, with the survey agency also listing Luthfi-Taj Yasin in the top position.
