TKP On Jalan Komplek Housing, Case Of A Baby Killed By A Car Handled By Satreskrim Mataram Police

NTB - Police said the case of a 1-year-old baby with the initials RKR was killed by a car processed by the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Mataram Police.

"Based on the results of our internal title from our initial investigation, the steps to resolve this case are regulated in the Criminal Code, so we follow up on the handling by transferring it to the Criminal Investigation Unit (criminal Investigation Unit)," said Head of the Mataram Police Traffic Unit, AKP Yozana Fajri Sidik in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, Friday, November 29, confiscated by Antara.

He conveyed that his party was following up on reports that came from the victim's parents to the Criminal Investigation Unit because they violated the rules of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ).

"So, this handling is different from the LLAJ Law, because it occurs on the road in the housing complex, it's a normal road category. If it happens on public roads, it will only be handled by the traffic police by the LLAJ Law," he said.

However, from the transfer process to the Criminal Investigation Unit, Yozana ensured that his party had attached all the results of the investigation, starting from the statements of the reporter, the alleged perpetrator who was driving the car, the results of the post-mortem of the victim's body, and the results of the crime scene (the crime scene) which were accompanied by CCTV footage.

"For the CCTV footage that drew directly at the scene, it was owned by residents, it's just that the CCTV was turned off. What was there, CCTV footage showing the suspect's car turned the housing complex and returned home," he said.

In addition, in the process of investigating the report, his party has also examined the vehicle of the alleged perpetrator.

"We checked the tires of the car, at first we found that there was a liquid attached, after being examined, it turned out that it was used oil, not blood," said Yozana.

From the results of the crime scene, the police saw a mat stretched across from the victim's house. He said his party found traces of blood and ice cream close to the mat.

"So, the position of the victim is close to the mat," he said.

The alleged perpetrator, from the statement in front of the police, admitted that at the time of the incident he did not see and knew that there was a baby at the scene.

"He admitted that he didn't see anything, only felt like a mound passing through the crime scene. After going through the complex's turns, because he was worried, he turned the complex back and went home," he said.

For the results of the post-mortem, Yozana said that she had not heard in full from the investigators.

"The information is that there is a wound on the back of the victim's head. We also attach the results of this post-mortem to the Criminal Investigation Unit," said Yozana.

The accident that resulted in RKR's death took place on Wednesday, November 20, at around 13.30 WITA. The suspect at that time was driving a white Honda HRV car.

Based on the results of the investigation, Yozana confirmed that his party had officially notified the progress of the report to the reporter in a written manner. Head of the Mataram Police, Kombes Pol. Ariefaldi Warganegara also paid attention to this victim's report.

"Later, if there is a follow-up to the Criminal Investigation Unit, of course we will also inform the reporter," he said.
