Starting With Shots Fired At Koramil, KKB Burns School In Beoga Puncak Regency Papua

JAYAPURA - Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Sabinus Waker again conducted arson against facilities in Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua.

The burning action was carried out Sunday, April 11, night by burning several rooms belonging to SMPN 1 (Junior High School) Beoga which is in one area with SMAN 1 (Senior High School) and SD Inpres (Public elementary school) Beoga.

"KKB burned six junior high school rooms plus one laboratory room, one library room, and a warehouse, so a total of nine rooms have been burned", said Beoga Police Chief Ipda Ali Akbar as quoted by Antara, Monday, April 12

Before carrying out the arson, KKB had provoked the security forces by opening several shots in the direction of Koramil (Komando Rayon Militer) Beoga.

The KKB is suspected of hiding around the end of Beoga airfield and hopes to soon get additional troops to strengthen existing personnel.

"Hopefully with the addition of personnel can strengthen the troops in Beoga", said Ipda Ali Akbar.

The shooting of KKB in Beoga District, Puncak District left two people dead, Oktovianus Rayo, who was shot Thursday, April 8, and Yonatan Renden, who was shot Friday, April 9.

Oktovianus Rayo was shot at his house which was also used as a stall or stall, while Yonathan Renden was shot while trying to retrieve a tarp to cover Oktovianus' body. The bodies of the two teachers were evacuated to Timika on Saturday, April 10.
