JAKARTA - Cawagub Jakarta number 1 Suswono assessed that there was nothing to question if he exercised his voting rights in Bogor, West Java. Although now a resident of Bogor, Suswono admitted that he had been a resident of Jakarta for decades.

This was said by Suswono in response to Cawagub's statement number 3 Rano Karno, who regretted that Paslon number 01 had to vote outside Jakarta.

"Incidentally, I have an ID card status in Bogor, so I have the right to vote in Bogor," said Suswono in Bogor, West Java, Wednesday, November 27.

"Meanwhile, if it is nominated, all Indonesian citizens everywhere are given the right to be nominated," he continued.

Suswono then told that he had also lived in Jakarta for decades. Starting from the beginning of marriage, to becoming a member of the DPR and Minister of Agriculture under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).

"I moved around, actually, when I got married I was a resident of Jakarta. Then I moved to Bogor, because I became a lecturer in Bogor. Then when I became a member of the council with the minister, I practically became a citizen of Jakarta for 10 years," he said.

Because he was no longer in charge of being a minister, Suswono chose to stay in Bogor. "Even though during the day, he becomes a resident of Jakarta, right, because every day he practically goes to Jakarta," he added.

Suswono also handed over the results of the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada to God and residents who chose RIDO. According to him, whoever will lead Jakarta in the future is the best for the citizens of Jakarta.

"We have submitted the best from Allah later. Like what, the final decision is the best for sure, I believe that," he said.
