Airin Pays Respect to Parents Before Voting in Banten Regional Election in Alam Sutera

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Banten number 1 Airin Rachmi Diany bowed and asked for her parents' prayers before exercising her right to vote in the 2024 Regional Head Election at Polling Station (TPS) 15, Pakulonan Village (Alam Sutera), North Serpong, South Tangerang.

Airin, wearing a turquoise dress and headscarf, walked to the TPS which was about 50 meters from her residence.

Before going to the TPS, Airin, who was accompanied by her nephew, Deano, had the opportunity to greet and shake hands with residents around the Sutera Narada Housing Complex, Alam Sutera, South Tangerang City, Banten.

Upon arriving at the TPS, Airin followed a number of procedures to vote. She also showed her identity to the Polling Organizing Group (KPPS) officers at TPS 15, Pakulonan, then was directed to take the regional election ballot paper.

After that, Airin raised and showed the ballot paper behind the first voting booth which was close to the voter's seat. From the other side, she was seen opening the ballot paper and folding it again after marking the ballot paper.

Then, Airin showed the folded ballot paper to the journalists covering in front of the ballot box and across from her. then after that she put the election papers one by one.

Airin expressed her resignation and surrendered everything to the Creator for the results that would be obtained in the election.

"Of course I will give my best and of course I hope we can win and be inaugurated as Governor of Banten," she said, quoting Antara.

She is optimistic that the Airin-Ade pair as candidates for governor and deputy governor of Banten will win the 2024 election.

"What is certain is that after the inauguration, we will immediately work. Please pray that we can give the best for everyone," he said.

The 2024 Banten election was contested by two pairs of candidates, namely candidate number 1 Airin Rachmi Diany-Ade Sumardi and candidate number 2 Andra Soni-Dimyati Natakusumah.

Based on the information gathered, the candidate for deputy governor Ade Sumardi cast his vote at TPS 002 Guradog, Curugbitung District, Lebak. Meanwhile, the candidate for governor Andra Soni cast his vote at TPS 029 Paninggilan, Ciledug District, Tangerang City.

Meanwhile, the candidate for deputy governor Dimyati Natakusumah and his wife who is also the Regent of Pandeglang Irna Narulita cast their vote at TPS 012 Kampung Cigadung, Cigadung Village, Karangtanjung District, Pandeglang.

Based on the permanent voter list (DPT), Irna Narulita is recorded as one of the voters at Polling Station (TPS) 12, Cigadung Village.

The Banten Province General Election Commission (KPU) determined the DPT for the 2024 Pilkada with a total of 8,926,662 voters, with a breakdown of 4,495,022 men and 4,431,640 women. They are spread across eight districts/cities, 155 sub-districts, and 1,552 sub-districts/villages, as well as 17,231 polling stations (TPS).
