Cannot Accept Mother Scolded, Son In Pinrang South Sulawesi Slitting His Father's Neck With Machete

MAKASSAR - A child with the initials Ja (33) took his own father's life with a machete in Pirang, South Sulawesi. His father's throat was slit because he didn't accept his mother was scolded.

"About the case, the motive of yesterday's examination, he did not accept his mother was scolded by his father", Pinrang Police Chief Iptu Deki Marizaldi confirmed to reporters on Monday, April 12.

This incident occurred Sunday, April 11, afternoon, in Bittoeng Village, Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi.

Iptu Deki said the match was done when the perpetrator's father had just returned to pray at the mosque. The victim was relaxing under the house with his granddaughter.

The perpetrator suddenly approached with a machete. Ja immediately attacked his father.

"The perpetrator came and immediately scolded the victim once which hit the neck of the victim resulting in an open wound on the neck of the victim", he said.

After taking his father's life, the perpetrator immediately left the house. Meanwhile, the police who received the report immediately rushed to arrest the perpetrator.

The perpetrator is designated as a suspect under article 338 of the Criminal Code. The threat carries a sentence of 15 years in prison.
