The National Police is paying attention to the handling of the death of SMKN 4 Semarang student Gamma Rizkynata Oktafandy (17) as a result of being shot by members of the Narcotics Unit of the Semarang Polrestabes. A team from the Propam Division and the General Supervision Inspectorate (Itwasum) were deployed.

"For the Semarang one, the Propam and Itwasum teams are going to Semarang to carry out assistance," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho to reporters, Tuesday, November 26.

The two teams deployed will pay close attention to the handling of cases carried out by the Semarang Police. Later, it is possible that the evaluation will be followed up.

However, for now, Shandi has not been able to convey the extent of the steps that have been taken by the Propam and Itwasum Divisions. The public is asked to be patient waiting for the steps being taken.

"Monitor langsung dan evaluasi (process penanganan kasusnya)," kata Shandi.

Meanwhile, in this incident three students of SMKN 4 Semarang became victims of the shooting.

The three students were GR (Machine Engineering XI Class) who died, then S (Electricity Technical XI) suffered gunshot wounds to the hand, and A (Electricity Technique XII) who suffered gunshot wounds to the chest.

Semarang Police Chief, Kombes Irwan Anwar, said that his members opened fire on a student with the initials G, who is suspected of being a member of a youth motorcycle gang or what is commonly called a "creak" in Semarang.

He explained that in the early hours of Sunday, the police received reports of brawls between kreak groups in three different locations, namely in Gayamsari, North Semarang, and West Semarang Districts.

The shooting incident occurred when G was involved in a brawl in West Semarang, precisely in front of Paramount Housing.

"In this incident, we have examined 12 children involved, and four of them have been named as suspects," he said.
