Considered Killing Characters, Prospective KPK Council Heru Khresna Disagrees Corruption Suspects Shown To The Public

JAKARTA - Prospective Supervisory Board (cadewas) of the KPK Heru Kreshna Reza did not agree if the suspect was also exhibited to the public when the KPK leadership announced the determination of a suspect in a corruption case. He considered displaying suspects during the announcement of cases including the murder of someone's character.

This was conveyed by Heru Kreshna in response to questions from members of Commission III of the DPR RI F-Golkar Bambang Soesatyo, in a fit and proper test for the Candidates for the KPK Supervisory Board, Thursday, November 21.

"For Mr. Bambang, the suspect is exhibited, if I personally, sir, I don't agree because it kills the character, sir," said Heru in the House of Representatives Commission III room.

According to him, the KPK must prioritize the principle of presumption of innocence. "Because after all they must be protected with the principle of presumption of innocence. This means that being humanized until later is proven that he is wrong or not," said Heru.

The most important thing, he said, was that the KPK could prove that the person concerned was guilty through the judicial process.

"The important thing is that we get the case and it can be proven that the person concerned is guilty and through the guilty judicial process it is much more dignified," he said.
