Diaspora Delighted to Welcome Prabowo in England

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto continues his visit to England. His arrival at the location apparently raised the spirit of the Indonesian student diaspora in seeking knowledge in England.

One of the student diaspora who warmly and enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of Indonesian President Prabowo in London, England was the Chairperson of the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) London Swara Reiki January.

"Wow, that was an unforgettable experience. It can't be replaced. I've never met the President before, but meeting him in person honestly made me even more enthusiastic to learn," said Reiki, a student from Goldsmiths University of London, as reported by ANTARA from Prabowo's media team, Wednesday, November 20.

The enthusiasm was not only felt by Reiki but also by other students who are members of PPI London.

They enthusiastically welcomed President Prabowo at the hotel where he was staying and gave their appreciation through a bouquet of flowers through thorough preparation.

"We as the PPI team have been preparing since 6 a.m., some even since 4 a.m. to prepare food and several documents so that Mr. Prabowo's trip runs smoothly," said Tessalonika Sitorus from Queen Mary University of London majoring in LLM Commercial and Corporate Law.

Another student who also felt the enthusiasm and euphoria of the Head of State's presence in London was Nicholas Chang, a student from Bayes Business School majoring in BSc Finance Hons.

Although Nicholas has not had the opportunity to shake hands or take a photo directly with Prabowo, he said that preparing to welcome the President of the Republic of Indonesia in London was an impressive experience for him.

"We have been preparing since 3 days before, we joined the advance team from upstream to downstream. We surveyed the airport, and after the airport, the hotel where Mr. Prabowo is currently staying," he said.

The arrival of the Head of State was welcomed by the Representative of the British Kingdom Charles Anderson DL, Special Representative of the British Foreign Secretary Adele Taylor MBE, British Ambassador to Indonesia Jermey CVO OBE, Indonesian Ambassador to London Desra Percaya, and Defense Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in London Colonel Faishal Ridlwan.

During this visit, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to hold a number of meetings, including with King Charles III, British Prime Minister (PM) Keir Starmer, and British Deputy PM Angela Rayner.

In addition, President Prabowo is also scheduled to attend the CEO Roundtable Forum event.
