Police: Suspect A Puzzel Last Online Gambling Komdigi

The police said that suspect A alias M was the last 'puzzel' in an online gambling case that was arrested by an employee of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi).

This is because suspect A alias M in collaboration with A and AK, who were first arrested as donors of online gambling sites.

"Suspect A alias M is the last buzzel or triangular piece with the previous suspects A and AK," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi to reporters, Tuesday, November 19.

Each of the three suspects was dubbed the triangular pieces because they complement each other while carrying out their actions.

Their role is to collect online gambling sites to be conditioned to collect deposits.

"The three of them are people who play a role in collecting online gambling websites. Collecting deposits, verifying online gambling websites so they don't get blocked," he said.

"They lie as operational controllers carried out by all suspects," continued Ade.

Suspect A alias M was arrested in the Sleman area, Yogyakarta, on Sunday 17 November.

From the arrest, investigators also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence in the form of assets and money belonging to the suspect and his wife with the initials D.

"Then from suspect A alias M and his wife with the initials D, a number of assets worth Rp. 16 billion were confiscated," he said.

With this arrest, the total number of suspects who have been arrested related to Komdigi online gambling is 23 people. However, investigators are said to be still developing to arrest two other people who are still at large.

"Thus, a total of 23 suspects have been arrested," said Ade.
