Grenade At Tamansari Bogor Kamling Post Confirmed Police Assembled

BOGOR - The Tamansari Police Sector of the Bogor Police revealed that the hand grenades that were evacuated from the kamling post in Sukajadi Village, Tamansari, Bogor Regency, West Java, were assembled.

"The temporary conclusion that the grenade found and disposal was a homemade grenade. According to the Mobile Brigade Corps Jibom Team, the grenade Police Headquarters was the first finding in Indonesia," said Tamansari Police Chief Iptu Jajang as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 18.

The police conducted an initial analysis by collecting pieces of grenade explosion after being disposal by the Jihandak Sat Gegana Team at the National Police Headquarters in an empty land, Sukajadi Village, Tamansari, with a depth of 2 meters of land.

From the analysis carried out, the Police concluded that the grenade was not an explosive weapon used in the military.

"From the debris, casings and insertions inside the grenade, it is known that they are not military standard grenades. The casings are made of very hard plastic fiber. Then the contents of the grenade are light steel screws made of iron and Bb Bullet Gotri," said Jajang.

He explained that the military standard grenade uses C4 explosives, while the grenade found is made of liquid or fuel that is flammable and can cause a high explosive power.

Jajang revealed that the grenade was taken to the kamling post by a resident named Sarno on Saturday (16/11) at around 22.30 WIB after visiting his colleague's house, the late Ganda for tahlilan in Cikareo Village, Gunung Mulya Village, Tenjolaya District.

At the tahlilan place, Sarno was called by the wife of the late Ganda, Rita, who found a grenade while cleaning up her wardrobe. Feared, Rita then handed over the grenade to Sarno.

Sarno then carried the grenade using a motorcycle, wrapped in a cloth put in a cardboard box first.

After that, Sarno placed the explosives at the kamling post and reported it to the police.

"After that, residents reported to Bhabinkamtibmas and Babinsa Sukajadi Village for further treatment. The grenade is the HRN type," said Jajang.
