Wagub Riza Reminds Jakarta Company Boss: THR Obligation, Must Be Fulfilled On Time

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria insists the holiday allowance (THR) is an obligation that has been regulated by law. Wagub Riza asks employers to give to workers or employees in a timely manner.

"THR is an obligation for all (entrepreneurs) to provide THR in due course. Immediately given his right to the right," Riza was quoted as saying by Antara, Friday, April 9.

Wagub DKI Riza asked that employers no longer procrastinate when it is time to issue THR, and he believes, every entrepreneur and company leader can understand the rights of employees and hope to pay THR in full.

"We strongly believe that employer leaders also give rights to their employees," Riza said.

Regarding thr payment mechanism whether dicicil like the previous year, Riza said it submits completely to the applicable regulations.

"The mechanism (thr payment) is regulated in accordance with the provisions," riza said.

Previously, head of the Office of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertransgi) DKI Jakarta Andri Yansyah previously said it was still waiting for a decision from the central government on thr payment mechanism.

"If the central government has provisions, later we in the region or in the region will socialize both to the association (employers) and to the federation (trade unions)," said Andri.

Related to sanctions and supervision that will be applied if the decision of the entrepreneur is required to pay THR in full.

"Later the decision there must be rules related to the issue of supervision and sanctions, if the provision is not met or violated, just wait," he said.

President Joko Widodo has encouraged private parties to give THR to their employees. Jokowi delivered this in a plenary cabinet session at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 7.

"It was conveyed that it was time for the private sector to provide THR because various activities have been given," said Coordinating Minister for Economy Airlangga Hartarto after the cabinet session.
