JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR from the NasDem faction, Rudianto Lallo, reminded the Attorney General's Office not to selectively handle legal cases. Rudianto emphasized the importance of justice and professionalism in handling corruption cases by the Attorney General's Office.

"The handling of cases must be fair and fair. Do not target each person or target certain cases, for example," said Rudianto, Wednesday, November 13.

Rudianto also reminded that the performance of the High Prosecutor's Office (Kajati) and the District Attorney's Office (Kajari) should not only be measured based on the number of cases handled. If there is pressure to meet the target, he is worried that new cases could be fabricated or "created" to meet expectations.

"In Indonesia, it is extraordinary, sir, that there are three institutions that are suitable for the eradication of corruption. What can be said, in Indonesia there are also the most officials who are in and out of prison," he said.

Rudianto also criticized a repressive approach that was considered still dominant in eradicating corruption in Indonesia. According to him, law enforcement should not only focus on repressive measures, but also comprehensive prevention strategies.

He also regretted the existence of three law enforcement institutions that handled corruption, the Attorney General's Office, the Police, and the KPK, but corruption cases continued to emerge.

"We encourage this so that the corruption problem can be resolved and resolved. So that the focus of our nation's leaders can truly prosper the people," said Rudianto.

Legislator Dapil South Sulawesi I is also paying attention to efforts to save state finances. According to him, state finances that were corrupted to trillions must be saved.

"So that there is a rescue of state money, the recovery of state assets. We encourage cases handled by high-profile corruption, not in the annic class. For example, what is checking is the result of RDP," said Rudianto.
