Police Involve Psychologists Investigate Same-sex Harassment With Reported Lecturers In Mataram NTB

West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police (Polda) investigators sent a number of questions in draft to psychologists regarding cases of same-sex sexual harassment with the alleged perpetrator of a lecturer in Mataram with the initials LRR.

Director of Criminal Investigation at the NTB Police, Kombes Pol. Syarif Hidayat said investigators sent this draft question as part of an effort to strengthen evidence from the point of view of psychologists.

"So, we have sent a draft question to a psychologist, just waiting for an answer," said Syarif in Mataram, Friday, March 14, quoted by Antara.

He ensured that this psychologist did not come from the NTB area, but outside the region. Syarif did not mention further the origin of the psychologist.

"What is clear is that the external expert, is not an expert here (NTB)," he said.

In addition to asking for a psychologist's opinion, strengthening evidence is also done by asking for the opinion of a criminal expert.

"So, the handling process is still ongoing. Just waiting for the expert," he said.

If the opinion of a psychologist or criminal expert has been obtained, investigators will conduct a case title to see criminal opportunities that lead to the determination of the suspect.

In this case, Syarif ensured that only four victims were included in the filing stage with one of them being the reporter.

The four victims in this case had the initials GA, FA, RT, and AZ. Syarif said that there were four victims who were still students and alumni of reported students.

The examination has been carried out on the victim and also on the LRR as the reported party in this case. In addition, the police have also conducted an investigation of the scene of the case which took place at the location of the reported community named Agresi in the Midang area, Gunungsari District, West Lombok Regency.

The NTB Regional Police are handling this case based on a report from one of the victims who entered on December 26, 2024.

The victim who reported was an alumni student from the reported party. Meanwhile, the reported party in this case works as a lecturer who teaches at three universities in Mataram City.

In the report, the victim admitted to receiving sexual harassment behavior from the reported party in mid-September 2024 when there was an activity at the reported party.
