JAKARTA - Islamic Cooperation Organizations (OICs) and the Arab League reaffirm their support for Palestine, condemning Israel's ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip, warning Al-Quds Al-Sharif is a red line for Arab and Islamic countries, at the Extraordinary Summit held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Monday.

The meeting, which was attended by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Prince Muhammad bin Salman (MBS), was held in line with increasing escalation in the Middle East, as well as consultations conducted by Prince MBS at the request of the Palestinian State and several other member states, according to the OIC in a statement of the results of the summit on its official website.

"We affirm the centrality of the Palestinian struggle and firm support for the Palestinian people to achieve their legitimate and irreversible national rights, the most important of which is their right to freedom and an independent and sovereign state based on June 4, 1967, with the East Al-Quds (East Yususalem) as the capital, as well as the right of refugees to return and get compensation in accordance with relevant international resolutions, particularly Resolution 194," the statement read, as quoted from the OKI website Tuesday 12 November.

The statement also opposes any attempt to deny or undermine Palestinian rights, reaffirming the Palestinian cause as all struggles that are just for the people who struggle to get rid of the occupation and gain their rights.

"We reaffirm the full sovereignty of the Palestinian State over the occupied East Al-Quds, the eternal Palestinian capital, and reject any decisions or actions Israel aims to amend and consolidate its colonial occupation of the city, consider these decisions and actions null and void by law, and invalid under international law and the relevant United Nations resolution, regard Al-Quds Al-Sharif as a red line for Arab and Islamic countries, and reaffirm our absolute solidarity in protecting the occupied Arab and Islamic identities of East Al-Quds and in defending the sacredness of Islamic and Christian places in it," the statement said.

The statement also repeated the curse on Israel's genocide in Gaza, as well as support for the security, stability and safety of Lebanese citizens. Israel is known to have stepped up its attacks on Lebanon under the pretext of hunting Hezbollah since the beginning of last month.

The summit participants also warned of the dangers of increasing escalation in areas that could have regional and international consequences, highlighting the expansion of the conflict by violating the sovereignty of Iraq, Iran, and Syria without any attention from the international community.

A joint statement also condemned Israel's decision to ban UNRWA from operating in its territory, attacks on UN UN UN missions, calling on the international community to implement all decisions of the International Court (ICJ), to call for a ban on arms shipments to Israel as well as boycotts of Israeli-related products.
