Teacher In Papua Shot By KKB, TNI-Polri Moves To Find Nau Waker

JAKARTA - The combined National Army (TNI) - National Police (Polri) forces continue to hunt down the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) led by Nau Waker who shot the teacher. KKB also burned a number of schools in Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua.

"TNI-Polri will continue to move, as soon as possible to pursue the KKB. Where the TNI-Polri has managed to control Waker's area in Intan Jaya yesterday," said Task Force Head of Nemangkawi Public Relations Operation, Grand Commissioner M. Iqbal Alqudussy, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 8.

According to Iqbal, currently, Nau Waker and his group are strongly alleged heading for Ilaga. Nau is a subordinate of the KKB leadership, Guspi Waker.

Meanwhile, Iqbal continued, Waker's group allegedly ran to the Beoga area because his position was pushed by TNI-Polri officers.

In addition to burning three schools, Nau and his accomplices also blackmailed Beoga residents.

Iqbal said Nau Waker had been on the Mimika police's people search list (DPO) in 2018 because of a series of crimes he had committed.

"In 2018, Guspi Waker gave orders to Nau Waker to carry out a shooting at Mile 69 of PT. Freeport Indonesia in Tembagapura, with the loss of 1 WLP vehicle," Iqbal said.

"The police have conducted ballistic laboratory tests on Steyer-type weapons used by Nau Waker," Iqbal continued.

Previously reported, KKB shot a civilian, Oktovianus Rayo (42), a teacher living in Julukoma Village, Beoga District, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua

The teacher died after being shot twice by KKB who entered the stall of his house.

In addition, KKB led by Nau Waker also committed criminal acts, burning elementary, junior high, high school in The Julukoma Village area, Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua, in the afternoon.
