The Binjai Police Narcotics Investigation Unit (Polres), North Sumatra arrested two suspects suspected of possessing 11 kilograms of marijuana from Kutacane, Southeast Aceh district, Aceh.

Junaidi said the arrest began with information that a suspicious person was carrying drugs on Jalan Satria, Satria Village, Binjai City District, Binjai City.

"Then the arrests were made of R (20) and DPA (18) who were in front of a house carrying a black backpack on Sunday (3/11)," said Junaidi.
He said that when the two suspects were arrested, the two of them tried to run towards the back of the house where they were starting. but thanks to the alertness and quick motion by the officers managed to secure the two suspects, then checked their luggage, and found the evidence.
"After examining the two suspected perpetrators, the two admitted to living in Southeast Aceh Regency, Aceh. Then R and DPA admitted that the marijuana leaves belonged to them which they brought from Kutacane, Southeast Aceh Regency, Aceh Province," said Junaidi.
The two suspects were charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 111 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a threat of imprisonment of 6 to 20 years.
