The Main Building Of The Gorontalo Police Headquarters Caught Fire Early Thursday

BONE BOLANGO - The main building of the Gorontalo Regional Police Headquarters (Mapolda) on Jalan Ahmad A. Wahab, Pantungo Village, Telaga Biru District, Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province, caught fire in the early hours of Thursday, October 31.

Gorontalo Police Chief Inspector General Pol Pudji Prasetijanto said that the exact cause of the fire was still under investigation.

"We are still investigating the cause of this fire because we cannot confirm what triggered it. Thank God, there were no casualties in this incident," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Gorontalo Police, Kombes Pol Desmont Harjendro, said that the fire began to be seen at 00.45 WITA.

The fire occurred in the right side of the Ops Bureau. Thankfully, we managed to secure the rooms on the first and second floors and other important files," he said.

Until now, the police are still investigating to find out the exact cause of the fire.

One of the residents of Telaga Biru, Antas Banua, said that when he passed in front of the Police Headquarters he saw the flames coming from the third floor of the main building.

"I saw a fire and there was panic in the front yard of the Regional Police Headquarters. Me and the other residents watched from the front of the gate," he said.
