JAKARTA - The Presidential Communication Office created the official social media account of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, namely @presidenrepublicindonesia, prepared as the official account of the presidential institution.

"We are preparing this as an official account for the presidential institution. So it is not a personal account," said Head of the Presidential Communication Office Hasan Nasbi via text message received in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, October 30.

Hasan said that for the time being the Instagram social media account has not been active. Later, he said, the @presidenrepublicindonesia account will contain President Prabowo Subianto's activities.

"Later it is planned to contain his activities as President," he said.

The Instagram account @presidenrepublicindonesia currently has 270 thousand followers. The verified account "blue tick" is managed directly by the Presidential Communication Office.

The account appears to be using a Prabowo profile photo. Until now, there has only been one upload dated October 25, 2024.

The upload shows the moment when Prabowo took an oath at the Presidential inauguration ceremony at the DPR/MPR Building, Jakarta, Sunday (20/10).

"By Allah, I swear, I will fulfill my obligations as President of the Republic of Indonesia as well as possible and fairly, uphold the 1945 Constitution, and carry out all laws and regulations as straight as possible and serve the homeland and nation," wrote the statement in the upload.
