Program 3 Million Rumah Menteri Maruarar DPR Project Bombastis

JAKARTA - Chairman of Commission V DPR, Lasarus assessed that the program of 3 million houses launched by the Minister of Housing and Settlement Region (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, was not easy to achieve. Because according to him, the target of three million houses per year is quite bombastic.

Nevertheless, Lasarus wanted to first see what steps Maruarar would take as Minister of PKP. He gave the former PDIP political opportunity to work.

"We'll hear first, it's not easy if 3 million houses have not dared to comment too far first, I'm afraid I said the wrong thing. Because 3 million houses one year is not easy, it's not an easy matter. In fact, I say that this is enough to make bombastics for us," said Lasarus at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Tuesday, October 29.

"But let us wait for the steps that will be taken by the government on how to reach 3 million houses in one year," added the PDIP legislator for the West Kalimantan electoral district.

According to Lasarus, the government, in this case the Ministry of PKP, must have made plans regarding the program of 3 million houses. Including the issue of financing and production schemes.

"Now there is Rp9 trillion, then how is the financing scheme, how is the work system. The work system I mean is this house, like we produce something, what kind of house production system, this must be illustrated first," he said.

"But come on, if the government dares to say something, they will have an analysis of the study and so on, how to achieve the target of 3 million houses in a year," said Lasarus.

Regarding the addition of the budget, Lasarus said, Commission V of the DPR would approve as far as the interests of the people. His party, he said, would support the PKP Minister's plan.

"Nothing, we will agree as long as the government has a budget slot, we will agree, moreover, this is to close the dead lock for low-income people," he said.

Previously, PKP Minister Maruarar Sirait said the government had a program of 3 million houses per year which would begin in early 2025. With details, as many as 2 million houses will be built in villages and as many as 1 million will be built in urban areas.

Even so, Maruarar first questioned the amount of the budget in his ministry with this program. The Gerindra politician revealed that to realize it, two Director Generals will be formed so that they can focus on their respective work and duties.

"So there is no need to cross the director-general too much. So it is effective for him to talk there. I will look for the director-general of the city who can build 1 million," said Maruarar during a Working Meeting with Commission V at the DPR RI Jakarta Building, Tuesday, October 29.

Regarding financing, planning, and so on, Maruarar said, his party would create an effective structure. He also asked members of the DPR to participate in supervising and criticizing every step.

Maruarar also complained that his ministry's budget was cut to IDR 5.07 trillion for 2025. In fact, he said, the target of meeting the needs of the house in his leadership was quite heavy.

"2025 Rp14 is Rp5 trillion. You have to build 3 million houses. Please also criticize whether this budget is true. Because maybe as ladies and gentlemen who made this budget, together with the ministry that was before me. Is this budget worth building 3 million houses," he said.

He added that in pursuing the target of 3 million houses with a down budget, he would ask for discounts on the property derivative industry.

"3 million houses, I've calculated the figures for tens of trillions. If we deal with cement factories, then we ask for a discount, that's just one, it can be a discount on how cheap the selling price will be for the people because the costs for the material will go down. I may do that. The efficiency is for state money So that later the prices of houses will not go up but down Please, I want to ask the Minister Pak AT," he concluded.
