Online Gambling Promotion, 2 New Celebgrams Graduated From High School In Sukabumi Arrested By Police

SUKABUMI - Two female celebrities from Sukabumi, West Java were arrested by the police for promoting online gambling sites (judol) on their social media accounts. Sadly, both of them have just graduated from High School (SMA).

FN (18) and SAP (18) both admitted that they had only been promoting online gambling sites on their respective Instagram accounts for five months. Both were arrested at their homes in the Cibadak District, Sukabumi Regency.

Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Samian said the two suspects admitted that they received a monthly reward of only around Rp. 1 million from the admin of online gambling sites.

"The first Instagram account, named user @bbyliaa_, promoted the dragslotsign.com gambling site. Meanwhile, the second account, @salmaraazeliaputriii, promotes the indosultan88s1.xyz gambling site," he said, Tuesday, October 29.

The modus operandi is that the two suspects in carrying out their actions use the snapshotgram feature on Instagram to create a status that directs their followers to online gambling sites.

"The perpetrators get IDR 1 million per month. For three months, the two women are contracted for a fee of IDR 1 million per month which is transferred via e-money and used for daily needs," said Samian.

As for the evidence that was secured by two Apple-type cellphones, screenshots of the sites that were promoted were Dragstoreside.com and Indosultan881xyz.

As a result of their actions, the two suspects were charged with Article 45 Paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 27 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Amendments to the ITE Law Number 11 of 2008, with a penalty of up to 10 years in prison or a maximum fine of IDR 10 billion.
