3 Motorcycle Robbers In Fake Police Mode Arrested In Cianjur

The police arrested three perpetrators of the robbery by claiming to be members of the police who had acted twice in Cianjur.

"From the hands of the perpetrators, six motorbikes, one car and handcuffs were secured," said Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Rohman Yongki Dilatha in Cianjur, Tuesday, October 29, confiscated by Antara.

He said the three perpetrators, on behalf of Amir Rudiansyah (22), Rian Septiana (20) and Fariz Maulana (22), were arrested after the victims of the robbery reported their actions.

"The victim was grabbed by the perpetrator so it seemed that there was an accident, then the victim was taken into the car on the grounds that he would be questioned at the Cianjur Police, while the other perpetrators took away the victim's motorbike," he said.

He explained that the victim was not brought into the Cianjur Police Station but to be precise at the cooperative office, after seizing the victim's valuables, the perpetrator then threw the victim on the side of the road by being kicked from the car.

The victim finally reported the incident to the Cianjur Police, so the officers were immediately deployed to arrest the three perpetrators, until the end of their arrest in Cianjur District without a fight along with evidence of motorbikes, handcuffs and other evidence.

"The perpetrator was charged with Article 365 paragraph 1 concerning the crime of theft with violence, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 9 years," he said.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cianjur Police, AKP Tono Listianto, said that his party was still developing the case because there were two identical reports and it was suspected that the perpetrator had carried out similar actions outside the city of Cianjur.

Meanwhile, the brain of the perpetrator Amar Rudiansyah (22) admitted that he was inspired by the burglary with the mode of an accident after watching a broadcast on television, so he invited two of his friends to act pretending to be a police officer with the target of a motorcycle driver.

"The money from the sale of stolen motorbikes is used to buy new motorbikes and daily necessities, currently the perpetrators are still undergoing investigations for the development of the case because there are several similar reports allegedly carried out by the gang," he said.
