PKB Processes PAW Faisol Riza Appointed As Deputy Minister Of Industry

JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) is currently processing the interim replacement (PAW) for members of the DPR from the East Java II electoral district to replace Faisol Riza. It is known that Faisol Riza is one of the elected members of the Indonesian House of Representatives from PKB who was appointed Deputy Minister (Wamen) of Industry in the Red and White Cabinet Prabowo Subianto.

PKB Deputy Chairman Jazilul Fawaid said his party would make interim changes (PAW) as soon as possible. In the 2024 Legislative Election, Faisol Riza's voice was the highest in the East Java II electoral district from PKB with 162,184 votes.

"Yes, we will process it according to the applicable regulations, we will replace it between time," Jazilul told reporters, Wednesday, October 23.

Jazilul explained that Faisol Riza's position would be replaced by the next largest vote-winning PKB cadre in the East Java II electoral district. However, he did not mention who his cadres would replace the former chairman of Commission VI of the DPR.

"It will be replaced by the next biggest voter," he explained.

Based on Law Number 13 of 2019 concerning the Third Amendment to Law Number 17 of 2014 concerning the MPR, DPR, DPD, and DPRD, members of the Council are prohibited from holding concurrent positions.
