Hashim Yakin Negara Bisa Dapat Rp300 Triliun Dari Pengmpenglang Pajak Sawit

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Board of Trustees Hashim S Djojohadikusumo, who is also President Prabowo Subianto's younger brother, said the state would receive a potential income of up to IDR 300 trillion from palm oil entrepreneurs, who are exempting taxes or not paying taxes.

According to him, in the near future these entrepreneurs will deposit IDR 189 trillion for the first phase.

"A report has been given to Pak Prabowo, which can be paid IDR 189 trillion in a short time. However, this year or next year, it could add another IDR 120 trillion, so that IDR 300 trillion goes into the state treasury," said Hashim as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 23.

Hashim also conveyed that entrepreneurs who violate the tax do not have a taxpayer's principal number (NPWP) and do not have an account in Indonesia.

There are at least 25 entrepreneurs who do not have NPWP and 15 entrepreneurs who do not have bank accounts in their homeland.

"The Deputy Attorney General is ready to act. These are rogue entrepreneurs, hopefully not in Kadin, there are more than 300 naughty ones," he said.

Previously, the Indonesian Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Association (Gapki) was ready to provide an explanation to the new government regarding the issue of the palm oil industry until the issue of accusations of palm oil entrepreneurs having not paid taxes.

Gapki chairman Eddy Martono said that his party hopes to immediately face President Prabowo to explain the actual problem until the issue arises.

"Not only this problem, we will also explain to the President (President Prabowo Subianto) the overall challenges faced by the palm oil industry both at home and abroad," he said.

Eddy said Gapki always listens to various inputs from the government, including allegations of naughty palm oil entrepreneurs who cost the state finances Rp300 trillion.

Therefore, Gapki hopes to face Prabowo soon to explain various strategic potentials, challenges including allegations of alleged financial leakage in the palm oil head industry.

According to Eddy, the issue of this leak is actually a case of the implementation of oil palm plantations in forest areas. Then the Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning Job Creation was issued.

Based on this law, the government finally formed a Task Force Team to accelerate the handling of the management of the palm oil industry, especially those in forest areas.

In the Job Creation Law Article 110A, it is stated that companies that are already operating in forest areas, but have business licenses, can continue to carry out activities as long as they complete all requirements within a maximum period of three years.

There is also Article 110B containing the provisions that companies that are already operating in forest areas without business licenses can continue their activities as long as they pay administrative fines.
