YOGYAKARTA - Profile of Kombes Ahrie Sonta, the personal secretary (Sekpri) of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit, is in the public spotlight because he was chosen as an aide to President Prabowo Subianto. With this inauguration, Ahrie will replace Major Teddy Indra Wijaya's duties. Listyo revealed that currently Ahrie is undergoing an orientation with the presidential military secretariat or the Secretariat.

"It has been [elected as Prabowo's aide], just waiting to be activated. Maybe it is still an orientation," Listyo told reporters, Thursday, October 23.

He also added that Ahrie was one of the six personnel with the rank of Kombes who took the test from the Setmilpres to become Prabowo's aide.

Ahrie was an alumni of the police academy (Akpol) in 2002. He is known as the Secretary of the National Police for frequently conveying cases handled by the National Police through his social media account on X @ahriesonta.

The man who was born in Bandung on April 2, 1981, had occupied a number of positions in the Bhayangkara corps. One of them is the Tanjung Priok Police Chief. Furthermore, he also received a mandate as Head of Unit II Sub-Directorate II of the Narcotics Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police to the National Police Headquarters.

He became the first person in his class to receive an extraordinary promotion from AKBP to Kombes, through the Extraordinary Promotion (KPLB).

In addition, Ahrie also briefly joined the Nemangkawi Special Task Force (Satgassus) in Papua and Djoko Tjandra's arrest team in Malaysia regarding the corruption case in the transfer of collection rights from Bank Bali. Ahrie Sonta also joined the SAR team for the Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 aircraft in 2021 at the JICT II Command Post, when she served as the Tanjung Priok Police Chief.

Ahrie has also completed a number of her educations such as the Dutch Polytie Academy Appledoorn, Crime Scene Analysis By Visual Comparison at M\"unster Germany to Joint Special Operation University, US Command Center, Tampa, Florida, United States.

In addition, the aide who replaced Major Teddy had also completed PTIK education in 2009, earned a 2018 police science doctorate, and completed Sespimmen education in 2016 and Sespimti in 2024.
