Risma Scolds The Disaster Preparedness Cadets Officer In East Nusa Tenggara Flood: Don't Just Stand There, Get To Work

JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharani inspects the location of the flash flood disaster on Adonara Island, East Flores Regency, Tuesday, April 6.

From Antara's observation, when she arrived in Waiwerang, the Minister of Social Affairs went directly to the video conference location to hold a meeting with President Joko Widodo and related parties.

Then, the Minister of Social Affairs went straight to the natural disaster post to inspect the public kitchen prepared by the local district government. She had reprimanded the Disaster Preparedness Cadets (Tagana) officer for not working.

"Don't you have work to do? Don't just stand around. Get to work", said the Minister of Social Affairs to a Tagana member.

She also had time to take care of the logistics herself which would be distributed to the people affected by the flood disaster.

He asked the Tagana to build a post and public kitchen because according to her, it was not ready at all.

The minister also asked the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police Chief Inspector General Lotharia Latif and also the East Flores Dandim to mobilize Police and the National Army (TNI) personnel to help build a disaster command post and also a public kitchen.

On that occasion, the Minister of Social Affairs also had time to walk about one kilometer, uphill and through the flood location to hand over aid to children affected by the flood disaster.

Risma spoke with victims of flood disaster and said that the government would further record further data related to aid recipients.

"We will help you, later, the aid will be distributed by the local government", she said.
