Filled With Many Seniors, DPR Leader: Commission XIII Cannot Be Viewed Next To His Eyes

JAKARTA - The leadership of the DPR RI has determined the composition of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairman of Commission XIII of the DPR. Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Adies Kadir, assessed that the commission in charge of legal affairs and human rights (HAM) should not be underestimated.

The reason is, Commission XIII of the DPR is filled with many senior politicians. Like former Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly, senior Golkar Party Agun Ginanjar, former Deputy Chairman of the MPR Ahmad Basarah and others.

The chairman of Commission XIII of the DPR was held by a member of the NasDem Faction, Willy Aditya. In the past period, Willy was Deputy Chair of the DPR Baleg.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairman of Commission XIII of the DPR was filled by Andreas Hugo Pareira (PDIP Faction), Dewi Asmara (Golkar Faction), Sugiat Santoso (Gerindra Faction), and Rinto Subekti (Democratic Faction).

"Indeed, Commission XIII, if I look at the composition, most of them are seniors, yes. That's why I said earlier, it seems that most of the statesmen in the legislature are in Commission XIII," said Adies at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 23.

"And the composition of the leadership was also Mr. Willy, who we know is quite reliable while leading the Legislative Body yesterday. Likewise, other leaders, we see the composition there are seniors, yes. PDIP is Mr. Hugo Pereira, there is Mr. Yasona, there is Ahmad Basarah. In Golkar there is also Mr. Agun Ginanjar, Dewi Asmara, in Gerindra there are also many seniors," he continued.

In addition, according to Adies, Commission XIII of the DPR is also in charge of matters that are not 'cans', so this commission should not be underestimated.

"Indeed, here is a commission that brings about regulations, regulatory reforms, then also human rights is there. And partners of course have the Ministry of Law, Ministry of Human Rights. Then there is also the Ministry of Immigration and Monitoring. And then the Ministry of State Secretary is also there. BNPT is also there about terrorists," explained Adies.

"So there really has to be thoughts there," he continued.

Not to mention the matter of immigration, the arrangement of prisons, regulating terrorists and non-terrorism. "So I think Commission XIII is one of the most important commissions also in the DPR RI, and cannot be underestimated," said the former Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR.
