Head Of Halut Ministry Of Religion Allegedly Directs The Victory Of The North Maluku Pilgub Paslon, Bawaslu Intervenes

JAKARTA - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of North Halmahera (Halut) in North Maluku (Malut) is investigating the alleged involvement of the Head of the Halut Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) regarding the suspicion of directing his staff to win the candidate pair (paslon) of the Governor/Deputy Governor of North Maluku.

Head of Bawaslu Halut Ahmad Idris said his party had a video seen on social media regarding the alleged invitation from the Head of the Halut AA Ministry of Religion to ask his staff to support certain candidate pairs.

So, said Idris, his party will conduct a search for the viral video with a duration of 7.11 minutes on social media.

"Although there has been no report to Bawaslu, we are still investigating the alleged campaign carried out by one of the officials at the Ministry of Religion," he said when contacted from Ternate, Wednesday, October 23, was confiscated by Antara.

Previously, a video circulated, the Head of the Halut AA Ministry of Religion was suspected of carrying out a black campaign at a madrasah ibtidaiyah school in Dokulamo village, West Galela District during the commemoration of Santri Day, on October 22, 2024.

In the video, it is suspected that the official directed all Halut Ministry of Religion employees who were present at the event with the symbol being at the 4th precept. The symbol is indicated to be the same as serial number 4 in the candidate pair cagub-cawagub Malut.

Through the video recording, it appears that the Head of the Halut Ministry of Religion explained that the Ministry of Religion is in 4th principle because there are members of the Ministry of Religion who participate as the North Maluku cagub.

In addition to the alleged direction of choosing a certain cagub, the Head of the Halut Ministry of Religion is also suspected of directing Ministry of Religion employees throughout the halut to win certain candidate pairs for Regent and Deputy Regent of Halut, who have been in contact with the agency he leads.

"Of the four candidates who are friendly, only one candidate for Regent-Deputy Regent Halut is committed to cooperation in building Islamic Centers, Hajj Dormitory, private madrasas, assisting teacher incentives and granting public madrasas is donated to be rehabilitated.
