YOGYAKARTA - Profile of Purwadi Arianto has attracted public attention after being elected as Deputy Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB). Purwadi Arianto is a high-ranking police officer, and has held an important position as Head of the National Police Education and Training Institute (Kalemdiklat) since March 27, 2023.

By having an educational background from the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1988, his career in the police has been long and full of achievements, especially in the field of detective. Having been an expert in the field of criminal investigation, Purwadi has extensive experience in investigating and investigating various criminal cases.

His experience began when he served as Deputy Director of General Criminal Investigation (Wadir Reskrimum) at Polda Metro Jaya in 2007. A year later, he moved to Bareskrim Polri as an investigator.

Between 2010 and 2013, Purwadi held an important role as Director of General Criminal Investigation at three Regional Police, namely North Maluku Regional Police, West Kalimantan Regional Police, and Central Java Regional Police.

In 2015, his career increased when he was appointed Deputy Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri. These positions further show Purwadi's ability and dedication in eradicating crime in various parts of Indonesia.

Before getting the trust as a National Police Chief of Education and Training, Purwadi Arianto served as the Main Secretary of the National Resilience Institute (Sestama Lemhannas). In that position, he played an important role in maintaining national stability and security through education and training at Lemhannas.

As a high-ranking police officer, Purwadi Arianto is also noted to have stored significant wealth. Based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) which he submitted on March 30, 2022, Purwadi's total wealth reached a value of Rp43.08 billion. Most of his wealth consists of land and buildings with a total value of Rp37.9 billion.

The properties are spread across various areas, including Bekasi, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, South Lampung, and Semarang.

Purwadi admitted that part of the land and buildings were the result of his own efforts, while some of them came from grants with certificates.

Meanwhile, transportation equipment, Purwadi, has several vehicles, including Honda Vario, Toyota Fortuner, and Toyota Innova motorcycles, with a total value of Rp654 million.

He also has other movable assets worth IDR 565 million, securities IDR 403 million, and cash and cash equivalents of IDR 2.3 billion.

Despite having large assets, Purwadi also reported having debts of Rp130 million.
