JAKARTA - A student became a victim of a cell phone snatch while walking in front of her house, on Jalan Moncokerto Raya I, Utan Kayu Selatan, Matraman, East Jakarta, Monday, October 21.

The perpetrator was caught on CCTV cameras around the scene. In the CCTV footage, the perpetrator was seen crossing his motorbike together.

The two perpetrators, who were still wearing white and gray school uniforms, had passed the victim who was walking in front of his house.

After passing through the victim, the perpetrators also monitored the situation at the scene. Then the perpetrator turned around and returned to approach the victim. The perpetrator also managed to seize the victim's Oppo A15 cellphone with the initials S (13).

"So before papasan first, then he looked at me. Then he turned around," said victim S.

After getting the stolen cellphone, the perpetrators then fled by speeding up their vehicle.

The perpetrator's actions were clearly recorded by CCTV surveillance cameras. The face and motorbike of Honda Beat driven by the perpetrator was also recorded by CCTV.

Matraman Police Chief Kompol Suprasetyo said that his party immediately checked the information regarding the incident.

"Check first," he briefly told VOI, Monday, October 21, afternoon.

Previously, the victim named Syifa (13) lost the Oppo A15 cellphone. Ironically, the two perpetrators wore gray white school uniforms, in motorized vehicles.

Ninu, the victim's parents explained that the robbery took place at around 15.05 WIB, Monday, October 21, 2024. The victim that afternoon intended to buy credit not far from home.

It was only about 10 meters from home, not far from the T-junction, suddenly the cellphone that was held by the victim was taken from behind by the perpetrator who was using a motorbike.

"My son was robbed. Just left the house, not far from the T-junction, suddenly his cellphone was snatched by two people riding one motorbike. Two perpetrators are still wearing high school uniforms (grey white)," Ninu told VOI, via text message, Monday, October 21, 2024.
