MAGELANG - Mount Tidar Botanical Garden tourist attraction, Magelang City, Central Java, is temporarily closed on 22-27 October 2024 to anticipate President Prabowo Subianto's visit to the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang.

"There is an appeal from several coordination meetings that the Botanical Gardens must be temporarily closed," said Head of Administration of the Gunung Tidar Botanical Gardens, Magelang Muwahidin, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 21.

The reason for the temporary closure, he said, was for security related to President Prabowo's visit to state activities in Akmil.

Information on this temporary closure, according to him, has been announced through social media belonging to UPT Gunung Tidar and the Magelang City Information and Statistics Communication Office (Diskomista).

"Later, we will install banners at the lower parking location, the entrance and the upper parking lot as well as around the UPT office, call for closure. We also use radio and social media for Mount Tidar and Diskomista," he said.

He conveyed the appeal to be completely closed, both religious tourism visitors and morning sports. This means that there is no service as usual.

Mount Tidar is one of the hills in the middle of Magelang City which is a religious tourist destination and is used for sports in the morning. The location of Mount Tidar is directly adjacent to the Magelang Military Academy Complex.
