JAKARTA - The Tamansari Metro Police has socialized the security system for motorized vehicles in order to reduce the number of thefts that have been increasingly rampant.

The Head of the Tamansari Metro Police, Kompol Adhi Wananda, said that this program received a very good response from the community. Police officers carry out double lockdowns or additional locks on residents' motorbikes.

"The public feels that this program is very helpful in minimizing motorcycle theft, and many residents voluntarily do additional padlocks in their respective environments," he said when confirmed, Monday, October 21.

The activity was also assisted by elements of society, ranging from community leaders, RT/RW administrators, to residents in the local environment.

The police chief admitted that this simple step had succeeded in minimizing the theft of motorbikes, which often occur in areas prone to theft.

Polsek Metro Tamansari hopes that this program can be an example for other areas in West Jakarta and its surroundings.

Kompol Adhi also said that his party would continue to evaluate and develop this program to ensure the safety of residents is maintained.

"We will continue to improve collaboration with the community, and I hope this program can become a joint movement in maintaining environmental security," he said.
