JAKARTA - Police arrested three specialist motorcycle thieves in the South Jakarta area. In 6 months, the perpetrators can steal a total of 30 motorcycles.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Gogo Galesung, said the last case occurred in the Setibudi area, South Jakarta, Monday, October 14.

The two perpetrators who were arrested had the initials MAA alias Obeng, MI and ES. Meanwhile, there is one more perpetrator who is still in pursuit or is on the wanted list (DPO), AF alias Batman

"The initials MAA acts as a jockey, carries and rides the main perpetrator with the initials AF (DPO), and observes the situation. Initials MI acts as a collector and seller of stolen motorbikes. Initials ES acts as a collector and seller of stolen motorcycles," Gogo told reporters at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday, October 17.

"30 times the theft, with details, in South Jakarta there are 13 crime scenes, later to explain it will be explained by the head of the crime scene. In Central Jakarta there are 10 crime scenes. In East Jakarta there are 6 crime scenes. Depok there is 1 crime scene," he continued.

One of the perpetrators used the proceeds of the crime to invite his girlfriend to date.

The three suspects were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a threat of 7 years in prison.
