JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) deposited Rp925,176,000 into the state treasury. This deposit was made as an asset recovery from the bribery case for the construction of PLTU Riau-1 which ensnared the former Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR Eni Maulani Saragih.
The payment for the replacement money installments was made on Monday, March 29 by KPK Execution Prosecutor Rusdi Amin.
"KPK Execution Prosecutor Rusdi Amin has again made a deposit to the state treasury with an installment of Rp925,176,000 in replacement money," said Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement, Monday, April 5.
This installment consists of the third installment amounting to Rp. 500 million and the fourth replacement payment amounting to 40,000 Singapore dollars (which is converted at the exchange rate as of 03/29/2021 worth Rp.10,629.40 is the same as Rp.425,176,000).
With this deposit, currently the remaining replacement money that has to be paid by Eni Maulani Saragih is Rp. 3,787,000,000 of the total Rp. 5,087,000,000.
"The Corruption Eradication Commission will of course continue to collect replacement money from the convict Eni Maulani Saragih as part of the revenue for the state treasury from assets recovery for corruption crimes handled by the KPK," said Ali.
