Prabowo Gives Directions On Food Security To Candidates For Ministers

JAKARTA - President-elect Prabowo Subianto gave directions to his ministerial candidates in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, including regarding food independence and security.

"The most memorable thing is the briefing from the elected president, regarding how then we carry out activities in order to support food independence or security," said the Minister of Law and Human Rights as well as Gerindra cadre, Supratman Andi Agtas, after attending the briefing reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 16.

In addition, he said, Prabowo also provided assignments to ministerial candidates regarding how to manage energy and water.

"Therefore, the elected president stated whatever happened, he asked all of us not to try to use the state budget for their own interests," said Supratman.

The ministerial candidates are also asked to use the APBN to be right on target when it has been appointed as a minister.

Even so, until the end of the briefing event, Prabowo has not determined which figures to attend will occupy any ministerial position.

"Nothing yet, not yet, not at all. That's a matter of where, who, will be announced by the President," explained Supratman.

The briefing ceremony was attended by a number of government ministers President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin who remain in the upcoming government cabinet, such as Sri Mulyani, Airlangga Hartarto, Pratikno, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Budi Arie Setiadi, Erick Thohir, and Saifullah Yusuf.

Elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka also attended the event.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and TNI Commander General Agus Subianto also appeared to be present.
