Honorary Employee Disdukcapil Kuningan Methamphetamine Dealer Arrested, Police Chase Supplier

The police arrested an honorary employee at the Kuningan Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) with the initials F (33) involved in the circulation of methamphetamine.

"This arrest is part of the disclosure of four drug cases during the first week of October 2024," said Head of Kuningan Police AKBP Willy Andrian at a press conference in Kuningan, Wednesday, October 16, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that suspect F was arrested on Tuesday, October 8 at around 17.20 WIB at the Kertawangan gas station yard, Kuningan, after the police followed up on public reports regarding the practice of circulating methamphetamine.

The police chief said that during the search, officers found four packages of methamphetamine and a suction device that the suspect had hidden in his bag.

In addition, the police also found 60 packages of methamphetamine in the suspect's motorcycle seat, along with digital scales and clear plastic clips allegedly used to distribute the narcotics.

"Suspect F admitted to getting the narcotics from someone with the initials B, a resident of Depok, who is currently still being chased," he said.

From the results of the examination, Willy said that the perpetrators circulated methamphetamine using the patch system method or met directly with potential consumers.

Apart from F, the police also arrested three other suspects, namely M (35), D (19) and C (23) who were drug dealers and hard drugs without distribution permits in Kuningan Regency.

"From the suspects, we confiscated a total of 83 packages of crystal methamphetamine weighing 26.58 grams, 44 psychotropic pills and 254 limited hard drugs," he said.

He emphasized that the four suspects who were arrested are now undergoing further legal proceedings and the Kuningan Police are developing this case to arrest other dealers.

Willy said that the shabu-shabu dealers were charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 112 Paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum prison sentence of 5 years.

Meanwhile, he added, hard drug dealers were charged with Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.

"Polres Kuningan continues to develop an investigation to uncover a wider network of drug trafficking related to this case," he said.
