West Jakarta Police Opens Service Command Post For Loss Of Documents And Basic Necessities At Tambora Fire Location

A total of 40 families of victims affected by the fire are still displaced at the evacuation post which was established on the soccer field of Jalan Kalianyar IV, RW 02, Kalianyar Village, Tambora, West Jakarta, Wednesday, October 16.

A number of social assistance including clothing and food began to arrive at the location of the fire. As many as 400 packages of basic necessities and clothes suitable for fire victims also emerged from the ranks of the West Jakarta Metro Police.

"Our goal here is to see firsthand the situation on the ground, as well as to hear what is most needed by the people affected by the fire," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes M. Syahduddi when confirmed.

The police chief hopes that the assistance can ease their burden a little in the midst of a fire accident.

The aid distributed was in the form of rice, instant noodles, liquid milk, children's clothing, women's clothing, mineral water, and other basic necessities such as toothpaste, bath soap, baby diapers, and snacks.

In addition, the West Jakarta Metro Police also established a special service post for residents who lost important documents due to the fire. This post serves the creation of loss certificates for various valuable documents such as Identity Cards (KTP), Family Cards (KK), and other documents that were also destroyed in the fire.

"We opened a document loss service post to make it easier for the public to report lost and take care of replacing documents," he said.

The document service post will be opened for the next week, along with the evacuation posts and health services prepared for the victims.

Previously, it was reported that the deadly fire again hit a densely populated area in Tambora, West Jakarta. This time, the flames devoured at least 30 houses on Jalan Kali Anyar IV, RT 11/02, Tambora District, West Jakarta.

In addition to scorched 30 residents' houses, the flames also killed 5 local residents. The five victims died named Raihan (7), Asgar (13) and Yoka (12). The three were male. Then the other two victims were named Sriyani (66) and Aryanti (40).
